Kathryn and Joshua’s Wedding at Saddlerock Ranch

This was a beautiful wedding at a very unique location. Saddlerock Ranch is located in the rolling hills of Malibu and it is breath taking. Kimberly Bradford and her team did a great job making the wedding of Kathryn and Joshua’s dreams come true. With a palate of of royal purples and deep blues, Square Root Designs created lush florals that looked striking against the vibrant green of Saddlerock Ranch. The ceremony took place under the old oak tree which Kathryn and Joshua loved. Everyone had a great time as they enjoyed the food, music, elaborate candy station, and late night snacks of In-In Out and milk & cookies. We hope all the best for Kathryn and Joshua. They are delightful couple and were wonderful to work with.

Bri and Ryan’s Santa Monica Engagement Session

We had a fantastic time getting to know Bri and Ryan while we photographed their engagement session at the Santa Monica pier. When we got there, realized it was Spring Break! Needless to say it was just a little crowded, but we were able to find a few great spots for some beautiful portraits. Here are a few faves from our afternoon together. We are looking forward to their wedding coming up in September!

Erinn and Wesley’s San Diego Wedding at the Santaluz Country Club

Meet Erinn, Wesley, and lets not forget the couple’s adorable pug… Bruno.

We had the pleasure of photographing Erinn and Wesley’s wedding. They are a carefree, fun-spirited couple, and were such a joy to work with. Erinn and Wesley were college sweethearts who first met at the University of California San Diego. The two fittingly chose to begin their new life together at the beautiful Immaculata Church, at the University of San Diego. Erinn and Wesley’s gorgeous wedding went off without a hitch, thanks to the hard-working and incredibly talented Kimberly of Kimberly Bradford Event Planning & Design.

The wedding day started off at the Hilton Del Mar, where we started photographing the fun group getting ready. One of our favorite moments of a wedding is the beginning of the day. Everyone has SO much excitement and energy its easy to just dive in and start creating great images (it also helps that everyone looked breath-takingly beautiful).
The vibrant colors from the stain glass windows, in the church, really added to the beauty of the location. After the ceremony everyone traveled to The Santaluz Club, for cocktails (especially the”Bruno Tongue Tini”). Cocktails were followed by a fabulous reception of white and pale pink center pieces expertly crafted by Nisie’s Enchanted Florist. The night was one of laughs, dancing, delicious cupcakes, and lots of love. We feel so honored to have been apart of Erinn and Wesley’s perfect day, and we wish them all the happiness in the world. Give Bruno our love!

Carol and Greg’s San Francisco Engagement Session

We recently had a pleasure of spending a lovely day in San Francisco with Carol and Greg. They wanted to visit special places, which included the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. There was an incredible selection of produce, hand made items, meats, fish, etc, all organically grown. The variety of items was mind boggling. After the Farmers Market, we went to Treasure Island for a gorgeous city skyline view, the Japanese Garden, Golden Gate Park, and ended our day at the beach with the Golden Gate bridge as our backdrop. Carol and Greg are a great couple and we are really looking forward to their wedding in June. Here are some of our favorite images:

First we went all around the Farmers Market. We started with breakfast at an organic Mexican food stand, then checked out some of the flowers and produce for sale.

As we walked through the Ferry building, Carol and Greg treated us to macarons at Miette. My only complaint is that their macarons are so incredible, I can’t eat a macaron from any other confectioner again. I’m going to have to order them online!

Here they are….melt-in-your-mouth, fresh, and full of flavor. Swoon!

Here was our view from Treasure Island. Carol told us they have a great Flea Market there once a month. We hope to check it out one day.

Check out our Barnet Workshops facebook page to see how we lit this photo so that we had Carol and Greg well lit, as well as the background.

The photo of Carol and Greg on the bench is at the Japanese Gardens, our favorite portrait of the day. From there we walked to a nearby area of Golden Gate part and found this lovely tree-lined path.

A relaxing stroll on the beach was a perfect way to end to a great day.

Elegant Glamor at the Millennium Biltmore, Los Angeles

Nicole and Hubert’s dream of gorgeous wedding came true working with Kimberly of Kimberly Bradford Events and they planned every detail. Nicole’s gown was beautiful and the photo of her girls around as she put on her dress is one of our all time favorites. Square Root Designs created the beautiful florals and Mike Carcano provided the entertainment. The Millennium Biltmore is a great place for a wedding. The staff is amazing and you feel like the place is yours for the day.
