We were so honored to photograph Catherine and Chris’ wedding! They are an absolutely delightful couple and working with them was a joy. Catherine and Chris met at their PHD program for computer science in Philadelphia. Not only are they tech geniuses, they also have a creative side, with the family business at Shinoda Design Center, a place where I LOVE to shop.
Catherine and Chris had a morning wedding put together flawlessly by Gini Garner and her team. When we arrived to the Bride’s room, the amazing Design Visage team was busy at work on Catherine and her girls. Everyone’s hair and makeup looked spectacular! The nuptials took place at the St. Regis’ Grand Lawn. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktails, bocce ball and croquet on the botanical gardens lawn. As the guests entered Club 19, they were greeted by a grand display of 1000 handmade origami cranes. The dining area had a very warm garden feeling with decorative pink linens and florals of roses, lilies, stock and hydrangeas. The dance area was surrounded by a gorgeous display of sweets of all kinds. Chocolates, macarons, crispy kremes and mini parfaits were some of the many sweets that graced the set up. Gini and her team certainly had lots to do in making the display look amazing! We enjoyed getting to know Tim Espinosa of Invisible Touch, the violinist and DJ who did a fantastic job serenading the guests with his beautiful music during lunch. Once the party got underway, the guests danced non stop until the very end. Because we had an early start, after the wedding we were able to go the beach for a bridal photo shoot. Here are some of our favorites from this fantastic day. Catherine and Chris, we wish you all the best and look forward to staying in touch. See you at Shinoda!!! ~Mirta
