We loved the experience of shooting the Jackson family. The whole family was in town for a wedding reception and they thought ‘why not do a family portrait?’ So on Saturday morning, they got up at the crack of dawn and got everyone in nice matching outfits. Everyone looked GREAT. After we shot all 19 family members in their off white tops and jeans, Grandma pulled out these cute T-shirts she had made with the ages of all her grandchildren. There are 8 now but one is on the way so in a few months there will be nine! I had the idea of putting together this composite as Joe was shooting each child. All of them were fantastic to work with. They were well behaved, cooperative and happy (eventhough they had to get out of bed so early) not to mention totally adorable! We really want to hand it to all the Jacksons for being such great parents.
Here’s the whole crew. It was a challenge to get them to all look straight ahead, but we had a secret weapon….
Secret weapon revealed…the cheering section! Some of the parents got involved and did whatever they could to get everyone’s attention. What especially works is if someone acts like their hitting the photographer over the head as seen here with one of the dads with a red cup. Normally I’m in charge of jumping up and down and waving around the pink flamingo but then I wouldn’t have gotten this fun shot :-).
